Firm Announces New Life Sciences and Consumer Products Divisions: Julie B. Kampf Appointment To Lead New Divisions

TENAFLY, NJ — September 17, 2002 — Honig International, Inc., a retained executive search and management consulting firm, formerly doing business as Riskon, Inc., announced today a change in corporate structure and the addition of two new divisions: Life Sciences and Consumer Products.  Julie B. Kampf was appointed Principal of the Honig Life Sciences and Consumer Products Divisions.

Riskon, now a division of Honig International, Inc., will capitalize on its expertise in information technology and the financial services industries and continue to provide its clients with executive search, corporate governance, and emerging hedge fund advisory services.

“Changing the firm name from Riskon Inc. to Honig International, Inc. reflects the firm’s global reach and its expansion into new market segments, said Barry Honig, President of Honig International, Inc.  “The federal mandate for corporate executives to be held more accountable for the financial health of their companies, combined with regulations to ensure proper disclosure of complex financial transactions, have created new opportunities for mid and senior level technologists and financial services professionals.”;

Commenting on the firm’s new divisions, Honig said, “Julie Kampf has an extensive background in senior management with consumer products companies as well as in-depth executive search experience in both the consumer products and the life sciences industries.  We are looking forward to the synergies created from leveraging our experience in technology and financial services with Julie’s expertise in these new market segments.  Julie B. Kampf joins Honig International, Inc. from Raines International Inc., an executive search firm where she specialized in senior level searches for the consumer products and life sciences industries.  Previously, she spent 16 years in senior management roles in sales, marketing, and new product development within consumer products companies such as Warnaco and Hartmann Incorporated.  Her industry specific background has provided her with strong business acumen and the ability to assess qualified top tier candidates to achieve corporate objectives.

“Heading up the life sciences and consumer products divisions is a natural extension to Honig International’s capabilities.  There is an overlap in skills between technologists in the financial services industry and those in the life sciences and consumer products industries.  In addition to senior sales, marketing and new product development positions, I am now able to offer clients a variety of services to meet today’s challenging and changing environments, including Riskon’s financial services, technology, and corporate governance services capabilities.  I am looking forward to working closely with Barry as a member of the Honig International, Inc. team,” Ms. Kampf said.

Ms. Kampf earned a B.A. degree in Political Science with a minor in Marketing from the University of Rhode Island.  She sits on the board of the International Association of Corporate and Professional Recruitment (IACPR) and is a member of the Healthcare Business Women’s Association, the Cosmetic Executive Women, and the Fashion Group International

Founded in 1996, as Riskon, Inc., Honig International, Inc. is located in Tenafly, New Jersey.  The firm focuses exclusively on providing executive search and management consulting services.  As a result, there is no potential overlap between an audit division and a consulting practice.   Honig is comprised of three divisions.  The Life Sciences and Consumer Products divisions specialize in executive search and management consulting as it relates to sales, marketing and product development.  Riskon provides executive search services, corporate governance services, and emerging hedge fund advisory services for the financial services industry.
